Doesn't really work, and always looks crap - it picks up the worse of the PFL, and mixes with the worse of the FL.

Thanks Twiglet :y

The scraper, presumably, will only penetrate 2 or 3 mm from top and bottom - cant remember how big the tape is.  Guess its a job best described as 'fiddly' ?

Cheers

IIRC the tape is approx. 12mm thick.  You'll find that as you get started from one end, you will be able to get the scraper in square on from that end, and wiggle the handle up and down whilst applying firm, controlled pressure.  Patience is absolutely the key.  Lots of little breaks for a cuppa.  ;)  If you overdo it and slip, you WILL bend the trim, at that will be that.  :'(
Maybe a silly question but.. would the cheesewire that windscreen fitters use to cut the seal on bonded windscreens work as well for stuck on door trim?

That's certainly another option Andy, but you would have to be so so careful not the snag the wire in the moulding, as it would go that like a hot knife through butter!  :o

Or an even sillier suggestion, take a hot air paint stripper to the inside of the door before using the scraper, it might just loosen the glue a little.
