The Astra G fronted Omegas never grew on me ...... I always liked the curved swage line across the bonnet of the preface lift cars
Please play nicely. No one wants to listen/read a keyboard warriors rants....
I passed my driving test in one of these!
I have the space / capability to do the first test run outside

Indeed, and just to add, I believe people who voted to leave are naturally more intelligent than the other dull sort👍

So ..... back on topic .... the bonnet pull on a brand new leccy Kia Nero isn't obstructed by a closed door
Thats a loop hole actually (which we do know about), as it won't have a bonnet in the traditional sense, just a Frunk
Clearly there is now a gap in the market
I was thinking of plugging it given the ticket prices people will pay, got a proposal for a new sub if anyone fancies joining:
How unreasonable ....Clearly there is now a gap in the marketFor some reason, my neighbours won't let me build that in the garage....

Its to old, legislation would have dropped around 2020 for new vehcicle types (as opposed to sales)
My story is about rental cars in the USA. Pitched up at a petrol (well gas) station somewhere in Hicksvill Texas running on fumes. Spent 10 minutes trying to find the petrol filler cap. Eventually had to ask the petrol station attendant - it was behind the number plate.
I can trump all of your bonnet catch woes....
When I was a 'professional driver' in a former life I was allocated a spanking new MAN tractor unit for my day trip.
I jumped in and thought How the hell do I drive this! There was no gear stick, auto box shift lever, flappy paddles or semi box shifter and after scratching my head for a while, I had to admit defeat and go and ask the shunter how to drive it.
Turned out it had a auto box and the shift lever was an indicator type stalk on the steering column.
They didn't take the piss.... much!
Ah, but your ML is a few years old now?.....
As for the bonnet opener, I recall some legislation (not my specific field but, I did ask the question when Defender was launched with a plastic protrusion from part of the door card moulding to cover the bonnet release) that it must be restricted access such that you cannot easilt pop the bonnet when moving, so they tend to be on A posts with door trim in the way so they can't be access with the door closed (you can thank many a rusting Jap car for that one!)
Nothing in front of my ML's bonnet release It'd be quite a reach from the driver's seat, but accessible all the same
Neither of ours have anything to stop bonnet release being pulled, other than they fitted them passenger side. You know, just where her handbag strap gets caught around it
