Oil was up by 8% on Friday and the retailers won't be sluggish passing it on.

Nice blondie serving  in the local Gulf station told me  on Friday their pump price will  be dropping again on

 Monday morning :-\ :-\      Think unleaded was £1.06 there on Friday ;)

The Shell here is the most expensive place around but I always fill up there (because I'm loaded, of course, STMO) .. in the hopes that it's the cute cuddly looking one serving.  :-[ :-X

Mrs TB paid 49.9p a litre on Thursday. I paid 61.9p today. Different stations though.

crap! bet it goes up before i get there!
on the plus side my local garage here is 1 euro1cent per litre
as the euro is 1.36 at the mo im getting fuel at 75ppl in real terms, hence i will be carrying a full 20litre can as well as brimming the tank before i leave spain! :y

Fuel duty is a constant charge per litre, so it's only the VAT element that's sensitive to the retail price. The government will see it as a good excuse to reinstate the duty escalator (after the election, of course). ::)
