Steering Box Replacement
« on: 19 January 2010, 10:18:50 »

Has anyone replaced a steering box on a V6?

How long to do it.
How much skin loss required.

Never hear of one that needed to be replaced unless it had been in an accident.
Pumps, Electronic controls, Old fluid, - yes.

Excess play in the box which cannot be removed by the sector preload adjustment.
Looks like a worn worm, there is no axial play in the input shaft so not related to bearings.
