Autobox determines input speed via the engine RPM, output speed is determined via aforementioned sensor. If box is in incorrect gear dependent on these values the box ecu will raise a code

So if the sensor was knackered  the car would pull away as if it had a 10 ton weight on the back of it ??? ( Sorry if this is like pulling teeth for ya , but I just wanna be sure I am getting the right part  to sort my auto problem)

The only code I know of  was 0704.  I think that  is what it was before  it was cleared by my local mot centre. But He thought It was connected to the auto selector switch problem I have and still need to sort :-[

I recently had a problem with the 'selector switch' - only 3 gears, lumpy gearchanges, poor getaway.  No switch available in UK.  Got one from the US for £38.  Any help?
