cam belt change

would like to change  cam belt on my 2.2 now I believe according to top of site the news says there is a dvd but went to shop and its not listed ????
what am I doing wrong

We are having propblems getting it into the shop.  See sticky at to of General Chat area.

Struggling to get help on DVD I did want to try a do it this weekend is there anybody out there to help me I have ordered the cambelt kit from local vaux dealer (£85 +vat) raring to go.

Get a water pump to......try your local factors for a QH one (cheaper than Vx on trade club and as good a quality)

do you mean the actual pump itself does this go as well!!
How much roughly?

It,s actually not a bad job to do just take your time and be methodical in what you do, allow a morning for labour time, yes you need to replace pump at the same time as they do fail, cost circa 30-35 pounds, and replace anti freeze at the same time as you will loose it when pump removed.

ps you will need a cam locking tool before you start to lock both cams from moving.

just been on to vaux dealer they quoted 53+vat for pump
now local dealers quoted 18+vat (motorquip)
another said 18+vat same quality as QH now if I cahnge every 40K do I need to put genuine one in ?

No, motoquip and QH are good for 40K+  miles.

It is an easy job as its easy to get the belt cover off and access is a  doddle!

do you think I need the DVD cos it seems to be difficult getting hold of copy if weather nice I may attempt this weekend

I think with a Haynes manual you should be ok - its pretty straightforward on the 4 pot.   Make sure to do the water pump at the same time.
