i'd have to check mine, but iirc, the 00/00 in top left of first screen means 0 tracked from 0 visible

I`m puzzled a bit -

You must have received something for it to relocate your position? Yet screen shows no reception. Certainly seems like an intermittant GPS antenna or dodgy connector to me - the fact that it did relocate and calculate a route, would indicate to me that the main unit is probably OK. Random direction is to be expected with antenna failure, and will just keep travelling where it wants to.

I have a spare from my spare ncdr1100, but by time posted to you, then you back again, probably as well to buy your own.

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=260265025329

That is the company I used, and connector type is SMB-M

For those needing CARiN ones, same seller, similar item but SMB-F

Note it is not a right angled connector, so cannot be used with full cage

This looks like a right angled adaptor?
TB, would this work?

Not sure that would fit the plastic clip that holds it to back of cage - if it would, that would be better bet if available in SMB-M :y

got my ebay aerial today, plugged it in and hey presto it worked straight away! ive the aerial run out to the scuttle panel for now, but its not ideal!

gonna get a second aerial from a broken saloon and replace the the seperate leads (HU to kick panel, kick panel to roof, and the aerial itself) to see what part has actually gone!

thank you very much for all your help folks!
