ISTR that the washer itself got in the way  all irrelevant now anyway

True as neither own an Omega 

Access is good enough from ramps to get either a 1/4" socket or an 8mm ratchet spanner on to it

Facelift access is straight in from the space left by popping the trim out

Indeed, bumper has to come off on them to remove headlights. Hence I always change the bulbs on Omegas in situ. Sadly not an option on the Jaaaggg
