hi all fellow anglians, i have today been to a lovely camp site and spoken to the owner who would love a visit from the oof members ! is all the camp details, the owner has stated that on the given weekend/day he will cordon off an area exclusively for us and he doesnt mind us doing engine bits (within reason) and having a good laugh (within reason). he has also stated that he will make canoes available for a quick sail down the river and reduce the day rate for those who cannot stay overnight. so all in all agood place to go.
all we need to do now is to arrange some positive dates etc. any q&a's
IM me, tone.

Sounds good to me, Jully/August is probably better for the weather.

Sounds like a good plan...  Last weekend July/First weekend August is best for me as I work an 8 day week... Unless we're talking midweek?

I live in London but have a caravan in Norfolk, which is visited fairly regularly so, depending on date, I would be up for it.

still hoping for some info on camping around the thetford area, which seems to be central in norfolk.

Last time I was in Thetford I lived in the back of an armoured ambulance for 2 weeks.... memories  ::) ::) ::)

I live in Germany but I could jump on the overnight Hook of Holland - Harwich ferry and meet up.  I have a cambelt tool kit plus some other gadjets.  I can do Cambelts, breathers, gearbox oil (not sure if owner ok on this one) and plenty of other oddjobs too.

I can also go down to the local trout lake and catch the odd trout for ther bbq (slightly out of season in july though  :-/ )

Has there been any more progress on the possibility of this meet? It'll be a really good opportunity to put some names to faces!

Unfortunately, living so far east, all the other meets are such a way away it can be difficult to get across to them!!

Is anyone thinking of coming over who has gone down the DIY LPG route? I'd be interested to see the kit in action before I do mine!!
