Cylinder Heads
« on: 21 June 2018, 13:19:42 »

Hi Guys,

Can anyone tell me are the heads in a 2.5 the same as the 3.2?

If not are the camshafts interchangeable?

Thanks in anticipation

No, the combustion chamber on the 2.5 heads is smaller than the 3.2 and the inlet tracks slightly narrower.

You can fit them (check they are a post 1997 head with the additional webs between cam areas to take the coil pack bolts) on a 3.2 to raise compression back up to that of the 3.0 but you will need to port the inlet slightly to match the inlet divider.
