Rear axle shaft difference
« on: 16 August 2019, 16:07:33 »

On my 2002 Estate 2.6L one of the rear axle shaft boots is damaged. I do have an extra axle shaft from a 2.2L car that  I would like to use instead.

My question is if there is any difference between these two. If I look at https://vauxhall.7zap.com/en/car/v94/m/7/2-3/ there are different part numbers for them.

To the eye they look similar.

Thanks

Plod spec 3.0/3.2 and possibly 2.5 DT have thicker shafts, but believe the rest are all the same  :y

Double check the diameter of the others in your fleet (at least one other iirc :-\) but for the 2.6 you should be fine :y

The diameter looks the same. I'll go with it.
