CCR 2006 BOSE
« on: 15 April 2009, 23:29:06 »

Looking for CCR2006 with Bose written on the flap, I have a fully working CCR2006 which cannot be changed to BOSE, ask TB if you are doubting this.

I need a CCR2006 which can be changed to BOSE, which mine cannot.

When I visited TB he discovered, when trying to change my settings with his his tech2, that there are two models out there.

He and I decided that the only way I can be sure I have the right one is to have BOSE on the flap, so if anyone is willing to swap or sell me one so I can resell my one that would be great  :y

If it hasn't got BOSE on the flap of the tape deck, then as I found out when I visited TB, the only other way is to plug it into Tech 2. This is when TB and I discovered there are 2 models

On my last car (2001 Facelift Elite) I had Bose but the CCR2006 did not have BOSE written on the flap.  So it looks like it's not straightforward to find out!

Agreed, if it doesn't have BOSE on the flap, then when it's installed the car it is a tech 2 job. TB can probably shed more light on the difference when it's plugged in :y

That is why I am looking for a CCR2006 with BOSE on the flap, so I can be sure that the unit I get can definately be coded to BOSE :)

Been having a nose at this on EPC

There are 2 CCR2006's

CCR2006  (Part no 9119984, Kat no 17 80 070)
and
CCR2006B (for bose) (part no 9119988, Kat no 17 80 072)

there should be a label on the back indicating the model number  :y

May make the search a little easier and mroe accurate  :y

These are fitted to more car's than just omega's as well.

It' more complicated than that as in total there are 8 part no.s (some are discontinued) and some of the models not listed as BOSE can be coded to BOSE, but as far as I can tell this a lottery. Hence my search for one that is definately BOSE

yes sorry, should have been clearer.

Lots more part numbers, which just appear to be for the other cars, and are different colours.

from what I can see, any CCR2006B regardless of front silkscreening should be bose (or able to be told its bose)

Did you get the model number off the back of yours at all?

be nice to see if anyone who has bose has a part number other than the ccr2006b

As far as I have found with ccr 2006 it is random whether it can be changed to BOSE. I visited TB to try and change mine and he had never seen a ccr2006 that couldn't be changed, he rang mark dtm who was also suprised that it couldn't be changed to BOSE
