Can anyone remember a series that ran on bbc1 for several years in the late sixties it was in black and white and was based around a pool surrounded by rocks. It was produced in an eastern European country possibly Rumania and the main characters were a girl, a giant gold fish and a dwarf, can anyone recall the name of this programme? sounds weird I know or did I dream it?

That is surreal, like a bad acid trip. :)

or a really good one ?

...............and so weird.  Like a bad dream, a nightmare, from which you would awake screaming! :o :o ;D ;D

In the sixties everybody was 'spaced out' wth LSD or the Apollo missions, Lizzie. ;)

Yes, it was the latter with me, and I can remember the sixties (and fifties) so I was on nothing! :D :D ;)

In the sixties, there was Carnaby Street, mini skirts, free love, lots of drugs....it was a time for the youngsters to take control of their own lives and to start influencing society in a big way......on the telly. Switch it of and go outside and it was still raggety arsed kids kicking a football about the back streets of Liverpool.

...and flower power, with the Vietnam War that we protested about in our own useless way! :D ;)

The summer of 'lurve' in 1967. Sadly I was too young to take part. However, I do remember being given a flower by a hippy chick without understanding the significance.

I'm soooooo glad I started this thread. My missus hasn't laughed so much for ages. The girl, the goldfish and the dwarf cracked her up and, when Tony said he didn't realise it was in colour cause they only had a b&tw se, it finished her off  ;D

With the age of the programme and the fact it was produced in eastern Europe I naturally assumed it would be in black and white  :( Keep this thread going it's great :y
