Australian GP - No Spoilers Please
« on: 26 March 2017, 05:59:24 »

Firstly, please don't post any spoilers... No details before the race has been shown again this afternoon please!

Who's up then? I always watch the first race live, without fail. 2 years ago I was in Albert Park to watch it live and it was awesome! Still on the list to visit again.

I read your post, thought the same, then a newsreader on sky blurted it out. Oh well.  :(

Hmmm... I'll reserve judgement for a few races. But nice to have something different going on and the wider tyres certainly made it faster :y

Watched the qualifying highlights last night. They do look rapid  8)

I do love the f1 irrespective of its format. However there's got to be a way of making it a race as opposed to a procession.

My first thought is to get merc (or Ferrari or whoever) to make 22 identical cars. But that's of course never going to happen.

So what's the way forward?

And on an aside...... I think they look quite attractive too. Was a bit unsure when they were released but that shark fin is growing on me.

Processional. If it wasn't for a vaguely interesting pit stop watching paint dry would have been equally exciting. :-\

Just rushed to work early to make sure I didn't miss the start of the MotoGP race. A12 blocked southbound for many miles. Very pissed off. Got to work 12 minutes after it was due to start, only to find out the start has been delayed,so it hasn't actually started yet.  :) :)
And yes, the F1 was very tedious. Probably due to the morons who write the rulebook. What did they think would happen with considerably more downforce added, ffs.  ::)

The most interesting thing about F1 for the next 18months will be how Bernie ends up back in charge for the total outlay of £27.84 and a packet of crisps.

To add to my comments about morons who make the rules.  Jean Todt, FIA president (formerly chief architect of systematic cheating at Ferarri) told a press conference at the weekend that the new rules will mean less overtaking in F1 but its a price worth paying to have faster cars with reduced lap times.
Should be shot in front of his family.

If we're to take this whole austerity concept seriously, then everyone who warrants it should only be shot once. Doesn't much matter where, but once is sufficient...

.. and preferably not in the foot (leave that to them), but through a more vital organ, or one whose absence at least removes the ability to procreate.
