There's a few of you're favourite rolling eyes for you.  ::)

It’s technology gone mad I tell you! If you ask me it all started to go down hill with the automatic choke.
Well, now that you mention it, the Solex ones on the Cologne lumps in the MK2 Granadas were woefully crap...  ::)

True. But fitting the 32/36DGAV off a 2.0l Pinto cured the problem for £15 & 15 minutes work. At least it did until a few years ago, the Retro-Ford tax killed those prices.

GM used to do a manual choke conversion for the Solex units they used, yet the ones on the Pierburg 2E3's were generally (if the coolant didn't get to cruddy) very reliable.

Just shy of £130 later, and a trip to a breakers to pick up a slightly scratched touchscreen, .......
How did you break the original screen?  ???
Firmware update to fix a minor problem didn't go to plan.

Modern cars, so dependent on the screen  :(
And on many it's just stuck there in the middle like an iPad sikafled to the dash & not something I like
Some of the VAGs are just abysmal, clearly an afterthought.

The mirror because it the auto dimming mirror is infinitely superior to the manual one.

The carpet because the Elite ones, besides being fluffier, are easier to clean and less prone to collecting dog hair.

The cba... because I am working tomorrow night and might choose to have a lie in... :P

Gave the brakes a really good road test :D. Driving home from Sudbury to Bury St Eds this afternoon, Following a car that was turning right at a well used crossroads when from the right this silly old fool came across in front of us. Gave him a large dose of horns and got a polite little wave of apology  ;D. Job for tomorrow getting smell if shite from car. Also didn,t know that SWMBO knew such colourful words. ;)

Got the right royal hump making a brake reservoir bracket up.
Walked away.
Thought about it.
Stewed a bit.
Decided it will not defeat me  ;D
