He'll soon make the £220K back by resuming his unofficial, tax-free tours of Stamford Bridge. Or he could get some drugs off his dad to sell.

Very simple actually .. court must find on the basis of "beyond reasonable doubt" .. a VERY high level of proof. Civil courts, and probably the FA, only need to find to "on the balance of probability", a far lower standard of proof.

No witch hunt, just different tribunals.

What I can't understand is " What does Anton Ferninand see when he looks in a mirror?" A white face smiling back at him? NO, So why is BLACK so offensive? ??? ???
It used to be to quote the Godfather of Soul " Say it loud I'm black and I'm proud". What changed ???

It all depends on context ...

"you black barsteward" is clearly offensive, especially when spoken with vehemence.

"Music of black origin" is not, when simply being used as descriptive.

So is " you white Barsteward" but it is not considered racist or if it is nobody complains ???

In sport gaining an advantage by getting an opponent to lose their temper, or lose focus is gamesmanship. Sledging in cricket as gone on for years, but nobody throws their toys out of the pram and pulls the racist card.

That wise old sage Joey Barton has weighed in....  ::)

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/19749030

...and I think he has a point. 12 game ban for violent conduct ( or tickling as he puts it!  ;D ), 4 game ban for racial abuse, which as Lineker pointed out is just one game more that a regular red card!  :-\ Suarez got an 8 game ban/£40,000 fine last year.  Not a lot of consistency at the FA....  ::)

To mere mortals like me, £220,000 is a lot of dosh!! What happens to it? Charity? or the FA Directors Christmas party fund?  Can/Does the Treasury get a cut? (Unearned income/Capital gains ::)???
