i suppose somebody on the forum will know about motors that need ad-blue. my query is how often does the blue stuff last once topped up. is it a mileage issue. ?

I believe it is a mileage thing, but the car should tell you a number of thousand miles before it needs topping up & remind you it needs doing. At no miles left you'll be unable to start the car. I've yet to get a 'top up the Adblue' message on mine.

Fill mine up about once a week, depending how heavy things get.

I get about 600+ miles to a litre, so 10 litres is about 6k miles
