I should really replace the cable on ours .... the outer insulation is split in places, especially the bits that continually get wrapped around the cable tidy bits.

Dysan motor to clutch belt deffo needs sorting, just a large piece of junk sat in the corner at the moment but a far better vac the Shark that was going to replace it.
parts are east to get ,and relatively easy to replace

I saw a lot of Mercs on recovery trucks today. I know the SAM on Smarts is prone to water ingress from rain, does it impact other Mercs?
Also saw 7 or 8 Prius' on recovery trucks as well

...... Thank god I had a dashcam. It was 7am on a wet January morning but thankfully it clearly showed I stopped and was then hit some 10 seconds later. .....I had a similar thing. Sat in a queue, about 3 or 4 cars back from the traffic lights, lights changed & every thing started to move but the car infront stalled. I then got hit up the backside! The girl that hit me then said .... "you didn't move!"
Anyone know how far it is to go around the ford? Other than to stop the halfwits that try to drive though at speed why did they need to block it off? If you have a vehicle that's capable of driving through the ford when it's at normal water levels why not let them
It can be a fair trek, the farmers are not happy as they often travel from fields one side to farms on the other, then its a big detour plus single track lanes
I have 4 genuine new, still in the boxes, Nissan Navara D40 Alloy wheels in my garage loft. I also had a pair of hardly used headlights and taillights from the same D40 Navara. I took them to our local car breakers and offered him these parts for free. He said he needed the vehicle VIN and any other documentation to prove that they came off our vehicle. The D40 has long since gone so he wouldn’t accept them, even for free.
I ended up taking the headlights and taillights to the tip but still have the alloys. Seems a shame to dump them but they’re of no use to me.

Worked on loads of them, not a bad motor TBH. Putting on my best M Cane voice, did you know they used the Maxi doors on the Marina.
No Marina/Range Rover/Scimitar/etc door handles on a Maxi .........can't remember the rest of the registration though.
You're not alone. I can never remember the registrations of my cars on my drive now ..... I can tell you the reg of the car I passed my test in nearly 45 years ago though
