Driveshaft or something else?
« on: 02 September 2009, 18:04:34 »

My trafic, most times when I turn right, very close or on full lock it clicks does this sound like a driveshaft?

Any idea's?

Sounds like LSD is slipping. You can get some oil aditives to go in and fix that.

Was thinking that too, when turning right it really does click, is that a good indication that it's the right side, also does it need replacement or is it a grease jobby, only does it on full lock.

Dry C.V
Maybe split boot.
You will see the leaking grease all over the boot.

Dry as a bone, no split boot either, did find a split link bar though so that has to be changed, any other idea's as to what the clicking could be?

Nackered CV joint, common fault on all Renaults and will need replacing (adding grease will not sort the wear!)
