My Saab 9000 turbo
« on: 18 October 2014, 09:49:26 »

Just a few pics after giving my 2.3 Full pressure turbo 9000 Griffin a wash, arguably they are a better bargain than an omega. This was £260 with tax and test and has a history file like no other and really shifts. Getting itchy feet so it may get swapped for a 190e Mercedes soon though.

Just out of interest, when / how does a car 'Qualify' for classic car insurance ?  My MFL 2000 V plate V6 CDX only does 1000mls a year :)

I think it's age and low numbers combined but it's still a lottery. That howmanyleft site , whilst alledgedly riddled with innacuracies, shows this is either the very last of the Griffin CDE model left or it's one of 42 of a slightly different Griffin model. I can do 6k miles a year which is more than I will cover anyway.

Nice sleeper that, mate. Lots of people would dismiss that as 'some old car' but I see that's a definite future true classic. The 9000 has an interesting birth with the Lanica / Fiat tie-up, and as you say, very rare, now.
