Omega General Help / head gasket kabooom

hey hey my headgasket went last night (x20xev) just wondered whats involved with the change, do i need sealant? i reckon an a new HG kit and bolts off ebay unless any1 knows anywhere cheaper, and a skim of the head anything else i should know about? any advise greatly appreciated. cheers - des

my abs light has come on intermitantly over the last month or so, it will normaly but not always go out after the engine starts up, it only comes on when letting your foot off the pedal so i think its not a sensor problem. i caught it once before switching on the ignition.
i turned the key until the lights came on the abs didnt go out so i took key out and went again till the lights came on and the abs light went out if i pressed down on the pedal but came on as soon as i lifted off the brake pedal. anyone got any ideas?

Omega General Help / 2l timing marks

ive tried to make sense of the pictures in the haynes book of lies but i cant work out how to see if all my timing marks line up, do i have to take off the belt? i thought it might have slipped a tooth and wanted to check it, also when turning the engine with a ratchet it seems to turn over free most of the way then hit a stiff spot is this normal, i had removed the plugs first.

well ive gone mad, seen a site which gives me all the know how to do the aforementioned, and just wondered if anyone else has any experience of fitting nitrous to a x20xev or anything else for that matter. any ideas what kind of BHP these lumps can take? not much id say, gonna start small and build my way up, need to source a cheap preferably diesel runaround to tide me over during the install and in case the inevitable happens and i blow the motor up.

any ideas, advise, warnings?

well i dont know what to say, ive just tried to register with the ONLY track in this god forsaken banana republic to be told that my car isnt eligable as they "always have trouble with them" when i asked them to clarify they sent back a snotty email saying that the judges decision is final. what else am i to do if i want to drive at over 120kmh well i feel like takin the plates off and goin for a big burnoff down the dual carrage way as there is no motor way for 50 miles yet i live in a major city, im ashamed to be irish today were so backward and smallminded, any ideas on how to get around this? tried askin the karting tracks if they would let me on but no luck, definately feel like leavin this country its just the pits
