blaupunkt cdc2 changer
« on: 21 May 2007, 10:24:48 »

I've just purchased a new cdc2 changer(including code)

How do i pair it up with phillips ccr800.It doesnt seem to ask for the code but the head unit doesnt seem to have picked up the cd player. just radio and tape. ive checked the lead and there is power getting to the changer cos i can eject the cartridge.

Any ideas?

Cheers. Chris

I have followed the procedure shown in the audio manual but still no joy. i even deactivated the code from the old cd player before connecting the new  one.

When i connect the new cd changer and try to activate the code like it say's in the manual nothing happens. Would it be something to do with cos the head unit can't be paired to any other cd changer unless a VX dealer does it via computer.

Yours Frustrated >:(

Its possible that CDC support has been disabled in the head unit using Tech2 (seem to recall its an option)

If you turn the ignition ona dn the radio off, press and hold the CD button on the radio whilst turning the radio on, does it go into any form of code entry mode?

Not on the new cd changer. i can activate and deactivate the head unit and can also activate old cd changer via codes but when i attach new cd changer and hold down cd button and turn head unit on it  just goes blank and i dont gety any beep as before or no code is requested.

Just seems odd. I am following what it ttells me to do in the audio manual but for some reason the new cd changer just dont get picked up by the head unit.

Interesting.....it sounds like the micro in the replacement CD changer is duff and not communicating.....we have this here on a CDC at the moment and we are trying to source a replacement chip.

What was wrong with the old CD changer?

It wouldn't load up the cd's. It kept saying no disc when the magazine cartridge was full. Someone on here said its something to do with the laser pick up being faulty or something like that.

I have a feling that the new/factory exchange cd player has a fault too. It just wont seem to communicate with the head unit where my old faulty cd changer does and i can activate and deactivate codes on that one fine

I would return it then......given its an exchange item....if it was an ebay purchase, I would be tempted to swap the controller boards over in the unit....

That is VERY interesting.....

You have a known good unit for a CCRT700 which doesn't work with a CCR800 and we have a known good unit from a CCR600 which wont work with a CCRT700.....I wonder if there are two varients of CDC2....

Can you check the specific model numbers on the CDC2 changers to see if there is any difference....

Do vauxhall have to programme each stereo so they work together. :question

Im so confused. i thought it would just be a case of plugging in new cdc2 changer and entering the code

For the older single DIN units, no programming to enable it (though CD option (and steering wheel controls)) can be disabled in the head unit (but in this case, old player worked, so CD setting in head unit enabled).

The double DIN units are different, esp the NCDC series which don't have codes, instead they are coded to the car, along with the display, CD, telematics etc...

From what I can tell, there are the following varients

Blaupunkt CDC2      7 607 775 320
Blaupunkt CDC2      7 607 775 322
Blaupunkt CDC2      7 607 776 320
Blaupunkt CDC2      7 607 797 321

The one you want is the first one, I suspect they have sent you the third one....
