Two new tyres fitted and filled the almost empty fuel tank. Over £300 in one day :(

Update from the past week or so...

New wheels shod with some lovely new rubber, and fitted to the car.  I had my doubts as to whether they would suit the car, but I'm very happy with the result!!

Also took delivery of some Irmscher and Steinmetz goodies, which will be making their way onto the car shortly!!

All in all, it's coming along nicely!!  ;D

My wipers have been "challenged " since I bought the car, there was about 3mm play in the motor gearbox bearing, so I fitted a replacement sourced from Rob, works a treat now  :y :y :y I also replaced the rear vac solenoid that got bust during my crank sensor change  :o :o

I had a recent problem with the car "being fragile " and cutting out after 50mins ?. Fault codes suggested Crank Sensor or Cam sensor, well no brainer, its the crank sensor, so I changed that a couple of weeks ago.

Unfortunately that wasn't the solution, and the car has been regularly cutting out on the M62 after 50mins, usually in the roadworks with no hard shoulder  :'( :'( :'(

However further playing with my code reader showed up a cam sensor fault on its own, so I got one and fitted it and the hard starting/running fragile has gone, the acid test is tomorrow morning  :y :y :y

We also cleaned out the breathers and  I checked the plug wells  :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(

And the squeak from the cam belt area at start up, I think I know what is causing that  :'( :'( :'( :'(  :-[ :-[ :-[ :-[  :o :o :o
