Bloody right too. Why should someone who hasn't got kids, or whose kids have grown up, pay for milk for someone elses kids. If you cant afford to buy milk for your own kids, either work harder or don't have them.

I think a payment to the families of NHS workers who've contracted it on the front line and died would be a good use of some of the fund

unfortunately , whilst 12 million sounds like a lot ,if you start making individual payments to families of NHS and social care who have died in the line of duty , including ongoing (sadly many more will die ) 12 mill won't go far

food companies like deliveroo etc are getting customers to donate meals etc

using the fund to try and buy PPE would just increase profit for the sellers , there is only so much about .

hence my suggestion to use some for a national memorial ,which , if greedy people where excluded from being involved , would not cost much

Whatever is decided, and however the money is spent, those who don't get their hands on any of it will whinge and moan ..... I forsee a number of begging bowls being proffered, with or without any justification ..... there are a large number of oportunists just waiting to pounce...  which is a great shame considering his noble reasons for the undertaking, which will probably be lost in the scirmish.
