Fans come on more on V6, as its engine bay gets a lot hotter.

More room around 2.2 bay, also 2.2 only has 1 cooling fan, V6 has two.

You will also notice after a long drive, they can stay on for around 30 seconds or so when you've switched off. 2.2 hardly ever does that unless you've been in a lot of heavy traffic on a very, very hot day.
Thanks for that tunnie  :) :y

Another question when in reverse (3.2) it felt like it was struggling to reverse had to give it a fair bit of power, Was a steep hill with a mixed surface but wheels weren't spinning and TC was off, Has been standing a while though  :-\

I can only go by my three and the fans do come on fairly often depending on ambient temperature and wether the car has been subject to a little bit of spirited driving,I think in general most of the bigger engined model owners would agree that the V6 seems to generate a fairly high level of heat from the underside....nice an toasty when you open the door to get out on a cold winters day :y
Ah that wouldn't have helped  :-X

Omega General Help / Some info required...

Hi all  :)..

I would like to know if a Omega 3.2 engine fan comes on often (not constantly, but more so than a 2.2 petrol and if stationary does come on now and again ? As my 2.2 hardly ever comes on unless its summer) and if it stays around 90 degrees is that about average ?

Thanks :)

Looks like he sold this one then was over £4,000 as well  :o

And he only paid £2500 or less off ebay for that one, still in my watched list.... ::) ::)

Took me to the add, the blue 2.2 I may have bought but only want auto, the red estate is too strong, money wise, I should have bought the green one when I had the chance..... ::) ::)
Good proffit that, most Omegas make a loss  ;D

It does look like its been looked after im just trying to get more info i have contacted seller but no reply yet, the car is 300 miles away from me so info is a must  :)

See if anyone on here local to Maidstone is prepared to take a look for you ;)

Thats an idea ive asked the seller to send me a contact number so i can speak with him

What price doyou think its worth ??
Its worth what someone is willing to pay for it is the usual response   ::).

Id happily pay £1,000 - £1,500 if i was after a 2.6 and considering its a "53" plate and looks tidy ;)
(this is presuming everything is okay with the car mind)

Used to buy V power for my '95 1.4 Pug 106. (2005-2006)

On regular Shell the numbers were £40 to fill it, and 360 miles per tank.

On V power the numbers were £45 to fill it and 400 miles per tank.

Not much it it, but it did pay for itself, and the car did go better on it :y

I would expect the Nitro+ petrol to be summat like £45 to fill and 420-430 miles per tank using 2005 prices and that 106 for comparison :-\

( the example above assumes it is the same price as V power and performs better than traditional V power)

Rarely use it now, unless I'm feeling flush or to wash down a couple of bottles of Wynns injector cleaner every so often ::)

May well give it a go in the Mig :y
Was thinking of trying something similar no idea if they work or not or just a wast of cash.

Thats expensive Wynns - usually get it through a trade a/c for around £3.50 a bottle.
Any good or just a waste of money  :-\
