Omega Electrical and Audio Help / Kenwood radio, standby mode when ign turned off

Hi,

Got a Kenwood radio in my Omega and every time I switch the ignition off it resets to standby and I lose all the stations. I remember a while ago someone saying I had to switch around some wires to maintain a live feed? Can anyone elaborate on which ones?

Hi,

My Omega Elite (facelift)keeps flashing this message up randomly. All sensor etc are attached and headlights give plaenty of light and don't move except on start up? A fault somewhere or gremlins at work?

Hi,

Have just got an FM modulator off of Dave but would like to know here people took the 12V feeds from behind the stereo, is there spare connectors or did you tap into the power supply for the radio?

Hi,

Having some serious problems getting the car to start. New battery fitted, won't start. Will start when bump started on hill no problem but starter doesnt seem to fire? On a hill rolling backwards slowly and ignition turned on, car will attempt to creep forward but won't start? Im guessing starter is knackered but would like opinions first. Pedal trick brought up following codes:

P0120 Throttle/PedalPosition Incorrect Ratio
P0120 Throttle/pedalPosition sensor/switch "A" circuit high input
P0120 Throttle/pedalPosition sensor/switch "A" circuit low input
P0120 Throttle/pedalPosition sensor/switch "A" circuit range/performanceProblem

P0220 Throttle/pedalPosition sensor/switch "B" circuit high input
P0220 Throttle/pedalPosition sensor/switch "B" circuit low input
P0220 Throttle/pedalPosition sensor/switch "B" circuit range/performanceProblem

Hi,

I'm looking for a TID unit for my 3.2 special but it has Xenons with self levelling, the self levelling warning light being part of the TID. Do all TID units have this as I thought most gls spec cars didn't have xenons?

Going to fit a Clarion double DIN unit in my new omega but can't find a black double DIN facia unless its included with the cage and other bits, i'm presuming the unit should come with a cage so it should only be the facia surround I need?

Omega Electrical and Audio Help / Facelift keys, all 3 buttons burst

Hi,

Both keys I got with my Omega are burst (i.e. the rubber coating has worn through) which makes it difficult to operate them properly. Anyone know where to get new ones? Its the type with the boot opening button on it

Hi,

I've just replaced the standard head unit on my 96 2.5 CD for a nice shiny DVD player, as it had the old aerial jack I went and bought an adaptor, I tested it when I got it and it picked up Radio 1 etc, but now that my unit has been installed, everything checked and double checked, theres no reception at all?

Thoughts?

Omega General Help / Car is 'dragging'

Hi,

Bit of a weird one, car has started to 'drag' or 'wobble' at times. Under braking it will pull to the left then right/left as though it hitting ruts. Also does this in corners when not under braking. All pads/discs were replaced with new genuine less than 100 miles ago and have been checked, all ok. All links/wishbones etc are ok and don't move even when given a good bit of leverage, alloys have been checked for any warping, again ok, tyres were checked and all wheels were re-balanced, yet it still persist?

Dangerous at times as you feel in corners it may throw you off the road. Anyone experienced this before?
