Th Omega is very reliable, only stopped once due to crank sensor, and when it does need things doing I know my way around it reasonably well.
I cant even see most of the stuff in the engine bay on Airfx1, and when I can see it, I don't know what most of it is or what it does.
The fault code is a fuel pressure regulator code, but apparently its rarely the FPR at fault. More likely to be a duff injector, several other things or possibly a fooked pump.
Not straightforward to diagnose either. French shite.

That clit should have a hand primer under bonnet, have you tried squeezing that a few times before staring ?, I've seen issues with a tiny air leak letting fuel run back from the pump causing slow start,a one way valve in the supply line will stop that :y

Park it facing down hill.  :y
I do that with the Zaf. As far away from home as possible.

Albs should do likewise ;D

Fitted a replacement rear wiper motor on the Zafira A tractor juice edition

I seem to spend my entire life replacing Zaf rear wiper arms.

Is it worth trying a genuine one rather than the ebay/ecp crap that seems to last about 3 weeks?
the reason the arm was not tight was because one of the legs that hold the motor had snapped
plenty of tension on the new arm and blade now ,hugs the rear screen well,
arm and blade ebay £7.59 delivered
it's 6 torx screws to remove the tailgate trim inner panel and a shed load of trim clips ,takes about 5 mins to remove the panel and look if your wiper motor arm is broke  :-\

I checked the motor several times over the past few years.

It seems the cheap arms have a small piece of moulding that seems to be to reduce pressure on the screen.  I'm guessing that's deliberate, but might see if I can file them off.

Yep, tried that. Makes no difference. Could be as simple as a small air leak or as expensive as an injector or high pressure pump, both of which need coding to the car with Renault Clip diagnostics if they are replaced.
Not the best time of year to be trying to find the cause out on the drive. Its too cold and Im too old. Wont be much progress before the weekend as Im on nights until Friday morning.

Started attempting to diagnose the cause of low fuel pressure making airfix 1 very difficult to start.
I knew I would regret buying a lump of French plastic shite.

Take a sample of the diesel and look if there are any tiny metal filings in it, had this happen to a friends car it was the pump.

Had the FPR off and checked the mesh filter while I was there. It was ok. Going to take the filter off and check that too, as apparently its a favourite place for filings to collect if the pump is on its last legs. Also going to do a leak off test from the injectors, so that will provide plenty of fuel for inspection. If its the pump, it could be getting weighed in.
Thanks for the advice Rae.

No probs, I didn’t like to say but,  he also had the 1.5dci we found loads of metal filings in the filter and he had no viable option but to scrap it :-\

The 1.5 dci engine is a dog, the 2.0 was marginally better, plenty of Quasquai owners around who can vouch for that

Got a hateful non-descript hire car, and then promptly got legless in Lazydocker territory.

Know that feeling .. that's why the next bit of work on the Range is being done by an indy and not on my driveway - front wheel bearing, next week. Straightforward job if it comes off without a fight (which at 10 years old, it won't), so someone else can fight with it in the warm(ish) instead of me on the drive in the cold and damp! ;D

Not my car, but freed off a stupidly tight T30 screw on next doors Octavia...

And promptly dropped the bit down into the depths...  ::)

Which took longer to retrieve than cutting into the screw heah and using various attempts to liberate the screw and find a suitable alternative...

On the plus side an E8 bolt left over from an Omega did the job. Not that Skoda will appreciate the irony of being fixed with Vauxhall bits :D

Incidentally, the garage at work is heated and is big enough for a couple of small Airbuses. Which is nice  8)

Changed the engine oil and filter in German No.2. The Audi MMI is displaying the correct oil level but I really would like to obtain a dipstick. The dipstick tube is there (to allow for sucking the oil out if so desired) but has a plug in the top so I assume technicians use their workshop dipstick to save faffing about waiting for the MMI display to settle after a run.  :-\

Took the door card off of the Volvo's drivers door.   :)

Looked at a twisted bit of metal through a small hole and tried some gynecology with a pair of stilsons without success.   ::)  :-\

Replaced the door card and came in for a cuppa.  :y
