Title: Hoorah - another 12 months Omega motoring
Post by: Tick Tock on 15 August 2019, 11:36:33
(http://www.emgauge70s.co.uk/omega_cert-pass2019.jpg)

Chuffed to bits, despite the advisories. Discs looked okay to me prior to test, so nothing to worry about there.

New track rods fitted 3 years ago....... thought they might last longer than that, but there's a lot of cheap stuff around.

Any recommendations for decent track rods?

Cheers Folks. Yes, that is consistent mileages per annum, purely by luck and doing only 1 longish journey (70 plus miles) per fortnight.

For TREs, I *ALWAYS* use GM ones now. They might be 50% more expensive, but they really do last, unlike all the pattern ones I've tried, which at best give you a couple of years.

Obviously, that's GM from a real dealer. Not egay, Autovaux, or other dodgy outlets that will likely send you pattern shite

I don't mind paying over the odds, as long as it's good stuff and will last longer.

Much better putting money into quality, rather than regular changes and alignment adjustments.
