Hello from Devon
« on: 19 December 2017, 11:22:31 »

Hi all. Just joined up. For "our" sins we bought out first Omega back in October this year. When I say "we" it's my partners car, I just get to fix the oily bits!

The model in question is a late 97 R-plate 3ltr auto Elite saloon in solid black, complete with dealer or factory fitted irmscher parts, in particular suspension, with the i.d sticker around the strut tops showing settings etc, irmscher wheels and what looks to be sports front seats.

It was a non runner after the heads had been put back on by the previous owner who bought it stripped after gasket failure. After fitting the cam belt and working through all the bits in the boot I got it running pretty much first turn of the key. It's got a few gremlins to work through...mostly electrical... which I'm hoping some of you maybe able to help with in the relevant sections, but overall it's got potential...and her indoors is happy so that's gotta be a bonus!

I'll get some pics up soon if anyone wants to see it.

Looks like a great site with plenty of experience...keep up the good work guys.
