Can front Foglights be retrofitted to an Insignia
« on: 29 January 2011, 23:05:15 »

Is it possible to fit front foglights to an Insignia to original equipment spec? Have been informed it's not as there is no wiring in place if they were not factory fitted as the looms are bespoke to each vehicle. Have heard of it being done with an independent switch but would only consider doing it if genuine switch can be used.

Can't see that being the case, not for fog lights. Everything is moving to single standard on the production line. Its much cheaper to produce a single set then just bolt on what ever spec is ordered.

Worth a look under the bumper for any tied up connectors?

If the loom is there then you should be able to fit but you will need to use the OE parts as the car has a complete CanBus system and the BCM will need to be programed

Fog lamps are £64.00 each
Switch assy £39.65
Bumper Inserts £8.55 each

All + VAT, fitting and programing

but only if the loom is there

Cheers

With enough time & money anything is indeed possible. Unfortunately I have a limited supply of both. :'(

Have been advised wires are not there. Will check for myself. Thanks for info.
