General Car Chat / fault codes
« on: 27 November 2022, 20:57:07 »
does anybody on this forum have any idea where i can get a list of fault codes & the meaning of them for a DS ds 4 . I have tried the french car forums both citreon & ds without luck,  my eml is on & urea warning appeared momentarily, topped it up & it took 15ltrs to fill the tank. initially eml disappeared but has returned.  i will have a look tomorrow & delete any codes, but it would be handy to know if any codes appear what they mean,  :y

I'm with Octopus on their Flexible Avro tariff which as advertised went up today.  :(

I was paying:

Leccy: 28.40p kwh 51.36p per day S/C
Gas: 7.48p kwh  27.22p per day S/C

Now paying:

Leccy: 51.71p kwh  51p per day S/C
Gas: 14.85p kwh  26.84p per day S/C

So a massive hike in the unit cost of gas and electricity, but look on the bright side...... they've reduced my standing charges!  :D
I too are with octopus energy, lecky only tho. earlier this year it went up from £85 to £156. I have been away for 2weeks & on my return there was a letter from Octopus & its been reduced to £89 monthly. I cannot weigh it up

General Discussion Area / suspended Irish teacher
« on: 07 September 2022, 15:56:42 »
apparently, an Irish teacher got himself suspended for refusing to call a pupil by a name that the pupil wished to be called
by & instead of accepting his paid leave suspension he went to school & sat in an empty classroom stating that he was there to work. however he was arrested & jailed by a judge until he agrees to bide by the courts ruling. the pupil in question is a transgender so it was a pronoun issue & the teacher would not call the pupil by the chosen female name.

General Discussion Area / Re: Excess Deaths

And I bet you’ve paid NI all your life. If you get here on an illegal boat other ways too,  you’ll get the best of health care and be put up in a nice hotel at the taxpayers expense. It will be TB and polio for us  next as these illegals are fetching it over and staring it off again. I’m up for genuine causes but these boats are full of young men who have mostly nothing to fear from where they came from  Albanians seems to be the most at the moment. Our NHS is being overwhelmed by these people, over twenty thousand already this year FFS.
my wife did pub work & cleaned the premises her hours  was 6,30am -10am cleaning bar area. public bar & the lounge. she would then have some breakfast, a shower then changed to serve any lunch time customers until 2pm . back to work doing bar work from 8pm - midnight officially but many a time it was 2am & later depended on customers staying behind. she was eventually retired by her G.P telling her she had to. but she was turned 70. so yes she more than paid into the system

Our family and friends experiences bears out the fact that the nhs shut down.

We still have folk waiting for treatment. They very cleverly manipulate the stats to make it look better than it is. My brother is still waiting for his cataract operation. It got delayed for this that and the other reason at Scarborough. Then he had the op cancelled on the day at least once due to staffing issues. Then he got on the table only for the surgeon to say “ Ican’t operate on this. Too complicated. Needs to be done at York by a better team! So he is now on the list at York ( no doubt the bottom) .All along at no stage will he appear on any stats waiting over two years.

The coming death toll from lack of treatment or reluctance to be diagnosed ( most ordinary people had the fear of god instilled in them by Hancocks daily diatribes) will be greater than the deaths actually attributable to Covid. The excess deaths figures will be interesting .

The Spanish health service suffered the same sort of issues but recovered far quicker than the nhs. Eg we got face to face doctor apps much earlier than the uk. My OH made an appointment a couple of days ago for a face to face. Could have had today but in a village further away so chose Monday local..
my wife is awaiting a procedure at York & she needed to see a consultant but instead of seeing one she had a phone appointment. a week or so ago because of the pain she was in & seeing her G.P again she again was referred to a consultant but alas again another telephone appointment has been arranged, so much for the cancer advert that tell you if you have a cough for 3 weeks or so go to see your G.P could be cancer.
