I'd have to double check, but I think on autos its from the range switch.
This ;)

Omega General Help / Re: Best coil springs for a 2.6 Saloon

Springs for self levelling are softer as the shocks are designed to carry some of the weight.
Worth bearing in mind that the shocks are essentially irreplaceable so standard shocks will be fitted at some point, and the combination of soft springs and standard shocks will be borderline dangerous ;)

Many belated happy returns. :y

My turn is getting close.. :-\
How close?
Less than 12 months :D

....
Defect: Mid pursuit on A34, mis selected 1st from 4th under hard acceleration. Loud bang and loss of drive. Lots of smoke. Won't restart.

 .....

so much for being a 'professional' driver .....  ::)
Probably just wanted a new engine... :y
It got one.

The manual Omega will take alot of abuse, but try rushing a gear change at your peril.  :D

Should be: Clutch down. Move lever. Clutch up.

But if you try: Clutchmovedownclutchleverup. It comes out of gear but hits a wall. Forceful wiggling will eventually get it somewhere, but unless you put the clutch back down, it probably won't end well :D

... Of course, if you owe them anything, then they won't let you close it.  :-X

It took some determination to close a Barclay's credit card account that I'd not used in years!  ??? ???
Indeed, God forbid that you should dare NOT to be enslaved to them ;D

Personally I don't believe any of the nonsense being spouted about people " rushing to get away " & the " upsurge in bookings"
It's probably wishful thinking by the companies concerned, a lot more will undoubtedly bite the dust very shortly.
Your hard paid taxes will be paying for it ::)

There are significantly more people who want to get back to work than have caught Batflu, let alone died from it. And countless more who have had their planned breaks cancelled without knowing when they might happen.

Regardless of what you may think, for some people a week or two in Benidorm or Florida or wherever is a big deal that they scrimp and save for all year for. To have had that taken away means alot. And I would wager that the majority of them have religiously locked themselves away since March.

We're all in the same position I simply don't like being fed utter bullshit by the media.
Actually 'we're' not, although from a position of relative comfort it might look that way...

As for media bullshit, choose what you want to expose yourself to. There are those individuals and outlets who are speaking out against the leftie agendas. Only one person is responsible for what you read/watch ;)

Best thing you can do with Barclays is to move your account. Of course, if you owe them anything, then they won't let you close it.  :-X

The four door Ferrari clone drew alot of attention, but was somewhat eclipsed by the LS1 and supercharger powered Omega Estate 8)

There was even a very nice early Micra at the last Brackers meet 8)

One of my plod Omegas had a full service history, including defect reports and job cards 8)

Defect: Mid pursuit on A34, mis selected 1st from 4th under hard acceleration. Loud bang and loss of drive. Lots of smoke. Won't restart.

Jobcard confirmed total engine destruction, new engine and clutch fitted (with paperwork), roadtested and returned to service.

Although I believe the 3.2 is remapable.
Zirk is the person to ask for this, but the results can be mixed iirc :-\

Certainly, MSD and Irmscher both did off the shelf chips for the 2.5/3.0.

Oxford area is good for me. Sadly missed the last Brackley one.  Very much up for a socially distant discrete meet up as soon as it can be arranged.  A group of Omegas is never going to be a mass gathering is it?
There's an unnecessary tone there... Even if most of the cars now aren't Omegas, the people are the same :y

Which is almost as important as the cars.
