Welcome to OOF
Must be a day for MOT passes - a pass on the Petrol Blue 3.2 Elite with clean bill of health and no advisories. In fact it created a lot of admiration from the other mechanics during its test..Congratulations on the MOT pass
MOT Pass, no advisories on the BMWCongratulations on the MOT pass
MOT pass on the Smart Roadster .... but with the same advisories on brake pipes it's had on the last 4 MOTs
The NT (Tester) should have noted the NON readable odometer on the certificateOne thing that is mandatory ,yet I doubt ever gets tested .....
"speedometer is working correctly and gives an accurate reading"
obviously speedos are NEVER tested on AUDIs, Golf GTIs (or golfs pretending to be GTI, with Ebay badges,) etc
A few years back ... maybe 10/13 ..... I presented an Astra G for test with a none working speedo/odometer.
The car passed without comment! (eventually )
it's all down to a tester. My 4x4 ML goes for MOT to a place that can't do a rolling road brake test .... I think, by rights, he should do a deceleration test on a road test .... but has never done so. He never tests my 13 pin trailer socket either! He's never tested my reverse lights!
I still take my cars to him for test though!
no idea of the bulbs but front fog lights aren't included in the MOTFront fog lights are a testable item on cars first registered on or after 1 March 2018 also DRLs
Agreed. This one is midnight blue with tan leather, I'm going to keep the colour the same but although the seats look in good nick I know of someone local who can refurb them completely, I'm going to keep them the same colour but will have the leather in the "diamond quilted" pattern that can be seen on most Bentleys.Keep them original, Mick.
^This!^
How original though?
Say, for example, you replace points and coil on a sixties classic for electronic ignition. Or modern tyres and brakes.
What Rangie describes sounds like an 'acceptable update' to me.
Just wanted a slight difference to make it more "personalised" to me, everything else exactly to as new condition, even my missus liked driving the Granadas at one point we had two she had a 3.0 GL & I had the 3.0 Ghia, the MK2 I had was only a 2.3LX in gay gold 👍
You go for it, its your car, purchased by you, for you, do to it what you want.
I must get a bottle of the pink magic potion from Lidl. The sticky buttons have driven me nuts for years.Aren't your hands/fingers always covered in oil and diesel and other fluids anyway from fixing your FRENCH "vehicle"
IF The NT (MOT tester) has entered it wrong on the VTS device (system) ,it can be altered by contacting VOSA or asking the tester to do it .Needs to be reported to the relevant authorities.Yes, report it to VOSA
