went car shopping because i saw a nice Astra H design estate tractor juice edition online
clicky
wouldn't start, needed jumping after the salesman said he'd drove it that morning and how fast and powerful it was,  ::)
checked all over it comparing the MOT fail sheet online to check work like brakes etc had been done ,(as per new mot pass) it had not , and it was a weird beige colour ,  :-\ not the ultra rare z157 star silver 3 paintwork to match the rest of the fleet  :( so walked away  ..Mrs builder agreed wit me  :o
found another 2005 astra H estate but twinport petrol 1.6 16v  local on friendface market place  ;D
checked it over, very good MOT history ,car pass, service book, receipts for 4 new tyres and cat back exhaust recently  :)
so a deal was done I was happy with , not so much so for the seller ;D
1/3 off  :y
collect tomorrow (because i wanted Mrs builder to do insurance comparison rather than just ring her current ) £100 saving on that to what she was paying for astra G 1.6 8v  :y

so I will retire the £200 paid 5 years ago, astra G estate (after raping it of tyres, radio etc ) should get £150 back .which is nice  :)

Nah, stripping everything off the frame. clean & repaint the frame, then do the same to all the other parts before bolting them back onto the frame.
Beats than watching Loose women, Judge Rinder and other assorted shite.  :)

Filled it(The Merc) with BP Ultimate after a very
"swift" round trip to Hastings & back didn't spare the horses & managed 25MPG.😎

Had four Accelera tyres fitted and it passed the MOT.
A couple of advisories though. First one regarding inside of discs showing some corrosion. Standard Omega issue which I wont panic about.
Second one concerning rust visible at ends of sills, but unable to investigate due to plastic covers. Sill looked pretty good last time I looked (less than a year ago), but I shall investigate (might have to wait until after the Winter) and do any repairs that need doing.
If its bad it will be an excuse to fire up the MIG welder.  :)

I suspect our idea of swift and not sparing the horses probably differ wildly, as I bet I couldn't manage 25mpg from a diesel...

Will do, but realistically, its unlikely to happen before spring has sprung. Id it has completely rotted away by then I will be forced to dump it and buy a CL500.
Shame.  ;D
