Count me in Mark,as haven,t been to a meet for sometime now ??? and off work that day . ;)
See you around 10.30. :y
-
Be good to see you andrew.....haven't seen your new car yet either :y
-
We will try to be there....pm sent :y
-
As usual, plan to come, but need to see how the numbers stack up....not much point if there aren't many takers, christ that's a bit negative but think you know what I mean Mark ::)
-
I'll find a way to get there.
-
I should be Ok for this Mark :y will do my best to be there :y
-
I will "spit,n,polish" the old girl then Mark ;D
See you next week :y
-
I will try and get there. Saturdays good as Sundays tied up with Rugby, Ohh I do like a bit of "brekkie" :y
See you there weather permitting.
-
Yeh! with loads of CHIPS :P
-
Not promising but should be able to pop down :y
-
Not promising but should be able to pop down :y
Blimey were you been hiding stranger :y
-
I will do my best to get there with my old jalopy
-
I've got some brand new 2.0 ltr bits and pieces that I'll try and find in the spares cave......no good to me anymore my old car is living in Poland now :'(
-
The amount of cars you have you should have enough spares to make another car.... :y
-
Wanna buy one? the way it's going silly on Steal Bay I can see my Monaro just around the corner :-\
-
tbh I have been looking and there is either a lot of people making false bids or omega prices are starting to rise :o
-
Shill bidding is the norm on Steal Bay,I've had numerous second chance offers...never taken any of 'em ::)
-
E bay has been ruined by too many self-abusers selling shite and bidding up on it :y
-
Agree....but the biggest self-abusers are steal bay themselves as they get a kick back on the sale....nob heads :-X
-
If the Monza wasnt on sorn and with the manifolds off, I would pop down and say hello
Keith B
-
well get them back on and pop on down lol...... :y
-
tbh I have been looking and there is either a lot of people making false bids or omega prices are starting to rise :o
Seems to me all this "bees around a honey pot" bidding frenzy thing . . only applies to 3.2's though. There does not seem anywhere near as much activity with the other models :-\ :-\
-
Excuses,excuses..oy vey,run the car without them then we'll know that you're coming, probably at the point when you cross from Essex to Kent ;)
-
Agree Al,that's why all Steal Bay 3.2's should be forced to be sold for £50 and breaking only, will ensure the future supply of spares for the rest of us and at the same time make our cars classics :y
-

yeah you might be right there Al...then again most will be crying when a 3.2 goes wrong and the resulting repair bill :y

No different to the other models IMO . . . bit tight to get to some parts of course . . . self maintenance & repairs are essential for me . . .I could not afford to have it done by a garage. But once you've had a 3.0 or a 3.2 IMO you would never go back to the other models. My 2.6 was the slowest of all my omegas. Only ever had V6's though ;D
Come on Alarming' you gotta get yourself a 3.0/3.2 boys toy to play with 8) 8) 8)
-
What you've got to rely on is the numpties who buy them, then rag 'em and then can't afford to fix them......Bless :-X
-
all in good time Al :y
-
Fingers crossed for the weather Saturday,Kent being famous for a bit of the white stuff on occasions. ::)
-
well we had some today and tbh it was not enough to worry about...no snow forecast as of yet in fact bright and sunny :y
-
We had a reasonable blanket this morning....shot out at six o clock with me squeegee and got it off the cars before the kids on their way to school started scraping it off for snow balls....mean ba***rd,who me? :P
-

Very cold & windy for Kent on Saturday is this mornings prediction from Carol at the Beeb :-\ :-\

Come on Al...we are Omega owners, we can cope with anything. !!!! ;D

Unfortunately Al that women lies (I know another like that!!) it will possibly be 90 degrees in the shade by Saturday... I do hope not because if it is nitro might break out his mankini :o :o :y
-
I'm reinforcing the gusset as we speak.....just in case 8) ::)

Ah Right ! . . . 90 degrees . .meet is in the Jungle then is it ? ;D ;D . . . sorry thought it was the Jungle Cafe ;D ;D
-
Well you might need to reinforce the gusset, Nitro, but best advise would be to insulate it if its below freezing as you dont want chill blanes ;D
-
I'll give the fibreglass stuff a miss though :o
-
What you really need is "Rock Wall " ;D ;D ;D
-
that stuff is extra itchy :o ;D :y
-
OMG....if it wasn't for bringing a spare part down, I think I'd give it a miss. Showed Chris Ken's gusset post, and she went upstairs and threw up.. ;D ;D ;D
Unless mum passes away between now and Saturday morning, we shall be there. Probably the gold 2.6, as its nearer the hose pipe for a wash :y

:( :(Won't have time to wash mine before Saturday . . . busy as hell at work :( :(
But with all the road salt etc. about . . hardly worth it . . be filthy dirty again by the time I get to the Jungle ;D ;D
-
Been trying to wash mine for the past week....neighbours will think I have flipped if I do it in the snow lol :y
-
Got to do mine...neighbours think I have had a delivery of earth. I shall come in whichever is cleanest ;D :y
-
Wash it, what's that all about, is it a show then?
I didn't realise it was summer already! ;D
-
A free cup of tea for who turns up with the "dirtiest" one then ? ::) ::)
Quick edit needed here guys : Mig I mean . . . not the missus or girlfriend ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
-
Why you buying Al as I guess I may win hands down....oh hang my car may not be included seeing as I haven't got my arse into gear yet....mind you its got a Vauxhall badge....and if you squint it looks nothing like an omega ;D :y
-
Picked up the white MV6 from the paint shop yesterday, had a bit of ermm 'operational contact' put right, and they waxed the whole car and it looked spanking,24hrs later and it looks like a sack of shite, covered in manky old gritty shitty salt ::)

Omega, after seeing Big Al's I'm sorely tempted to get one.
It was good to see you guys after so long, and to meet some
some new owners.

Good little meet , nice to see a couple of new faces & of course the "regulars " :y :y
Some nice cars there today . . . . & surprising clean considering the time of year ;D ;D ;D
Big thanks to Alarming Mark for organising :y :y
Looking forward to Terby's overnighter at Wycombe in early May 8) 8)
-
Agree,a good meet, had a laugh and a decent breakfast, also good to see John (Reality) looking well, all we've got to do is to get him back in an Omega :y Now looking forward to the High Wycombe meet in May,and hopefully some decent early summer sun on the day :y
-
Yep, a good meet and thanks for making me feel so welcome, me being a new boy and all.
Big thanks to Alarming Man Mark for organising it goes from me as well. :y :y :y
And that little rattle you heard when I came in and I thought was one of the heat shields turned out to be the exhaust clamp/pipe (the mid section one) rattling around as one of the bolts had sheared off and that left just one. Luckily I popped into my mate's place on the way back and had the car up on the ramp drilling out (of course!) what was left of the bolt for an hour or so!! >:(
And I was just saying at the meet how I have had to do that before on my last Omega and how much I hated it.....Sod's law!!
Still fixed now and much easier on a ramp than on the floor.
-
Thanks Mark for organising the meet. :y
Good to see some new face too.Reminds me why I should really try and find the time to attend more. ::)
Many Thanks Tony :y for the washer jet and good advise on its replacement :y ,so hopefully I wont be soaking many pedestrains anymore. ;D
-
Good meet...thanks Mark for arranging it.
Nice to see some new faces......although I don't think giving the hand that feeds you a bath, amba ;D
Saw Big Al take off up the A20.....wondered what you had in the front with you, cuz it looked to be covered in the brown stuff. Was he scared !!!!! ;D ;D
John....get an Omega....you can have star billing at my meet :y
And, by heck...that was some mean breakfast !!!!!!!! :y
-
Scared moi???....no amazed how they take off :y
-
Yes Mark, the 3.2,s are quite rapid in full flight ;)
