Flippin' eck...you came within half a mile of me.....gives us a shout if you come back :y

I was joking to MrsGK that we were in several OOF hotspots, we only saw one MFL and got a thumbs up...

Next time I'll sort out a whistlestop tour of OOF tea stops :D

I am going to try and make it (in my old elite) if that is ok Tony  :P  - I would appreciate some pointers on the gear selector cleaning process - still don't grasp the realignment bit. Will get some switch cleaner - is anything else needed? Thankyou.

P.S. A Tech 2 session would be great too!

Thankyou gentlemen.

Tony i was gutted i couldn't make the last one but it was unavoidable due to being abroad on business

I am presuming you remove the switch from the inside of the car as opposed to from underneath? - i don't mind "experimenting" on the day!!

It's the switch assembly on the side of the gearbox... Requires ramps and a couple of spanners/sockets to unbolt the selector rod and the bolts to the gearbox casing and unplug the loom... Then switch out and dismantle/clean as per guide :y

Generally doesn't need realigning if you are just cleaning it.

The alignment is to ensure gear lever is in the "right position"
