Received my chariot for tomorrow.  Sadly, they haven't given my Opti's loan M5, but its got a turbo apparently.

I was in no hurry, so was happy to make him feel a little prick, assuming he even used his mirrors - they might be an optional extra

Had I been in a hurry, I would have nipped up the inside when possible, or gone up an slip road, and rejoined.

To me, the only thing the originals do better than refurbished ones is that the ball joints are rivetted on, not bolted.

The balljoints usually last nearly forever, and the rear bushes are dirt cheap and readily available.  Once you fit the other shite, you lose these benefits.

Obviously, if you only plan on keeping it another 18 months, it's a moot point. As if somebody has already put pattern ones on.

I live in Cyprus and have had the same problem.
I got around this problem by removing the switch's put Talcum Powder on it leave it a day then with a soft small paint brush sweep the powder off. I have to do this every two years

That's worth a go as a quick fix, even if it is likely to be temporary

Are you sure the head is cracked, rather than just the head gasket failed?  Head gasket is likely to be much cheaper and likely easier to source locally

Does the rev counter do that without driving?

And what does the battery gauge do when the rev counter fluctuates?

Is Fuse 12 intact?

12 Fuse is normal.
Without driving and not accelerating rev counter looks good +-
