Thanks guys :)

I personally think the performance is great...120bhp doesn't seem alot in this day and age but its not bad for a deisel, but it's the 206 lbft of torque is what means the most, the power delivery is alot better than i imagined...TBH it is bit of a slug below 2000rpm but there is a real surge of power after that, can really be fealt...pulls like a train.

As for MPG, erm well...i re-set all the computer readouts the night i picked it up, and the average MPG figure has been at 34mpg, but is now dropping...was on 32.2 just earlier when i came in...but then i am doing two very short 5min runs too and from work every day and i mainly do urban driving, with it sat in 2nd & 3rd mainly so the power is there, so its bound to suffer...and i dont hang about neither...god knows what id be getting if id bought the 2.6 V6 MV6 estate that i was after a while back - prob about 12mpg knowing me  ;)

Guess it will get upto about 40-50mpg if doing long runs/constant speeds all the time.

Also is a few thou' over its service so that may not help matters, not 100% sure how critical derv's are to service shedules against engine perfromance?...wont be long before its going in anyway.

Good tow cars due to the torque...the 2.2 DTi is the better tow car due to increased torque over the 2.5 TD...TD had more BHP but less torque.

One of the caravan magazines had one, then after a few months nothing was ever heard again of it.

Pity there was never an auto version of it

Auto version of which?...i know for a fact they made the 2.5 TD with an Auto, as virtually all the 2.5 TD Elites i saw were Auto's...cant be sure about a 2.2 DTi Auto, but im sure ive seen one.
