Sold (well, yesterday) my '03 2.6 Elite saloon to a nice chap from Norfolk. Sad to see it go, because it was a lovely straight car, but it wasn't getting the use it deserved. Can now solely enjoy the 3.2 Elites
I have to compress the sides slightly on the genuine GM pollen filters to place them in position, but they still need a helping finger to support them until 'clipped'.... Maybe I should write to GM and tell them their filters are the wrong size then....
Mine tend not to support themselves in the frame whilst changing them - a finger is needed to hold them on situ whilst fastening the clips. And that is genuine GM charcoal filters.... can't say about other makes, as I've only ever fitted genuine GM.
I've the exact same issues in every respect with one of mine. I've done everything mentioned here, but it's not resolved it, so anything that actually sorts it will be greatly appreciated...
