Pretty certain those idents are for CIDs not GIDs.

As Zirk alludes to, they cannot just be swapped, due to the way the security coding works.

I should check how many I had in the house ;D.  I know I lost about 5 GIDs in the garage :(.

I take it you need depaired?

Note that repairing these with that useless, illegal code reader frequently doesn't work (it says successful, but items stay depaired), seems to depend on the exact clone type used.

I suspected as much :y

No, my CIDs are not for sale, I keep them as spares for when the LCD fails, as the new panels are over £100.

As to removal, just follow the dash removal guide. The CID has 2 cables that you have to undo be feel, and 2 or 4 screws that are obviously when dash is out (CID comes out attached to instrument panel).

Also cant help as the CID I have (like the GID) is also attached to a NCDC.

Whats wrong with your Screen?, or are you upgrading.

As TB said Screen just unscrews from the Clock display as in the guide, if upgrading you may need to make up a RGB Cable for it.

If no other options, if its the LCD smashed, these are about £120 new. Also saved the programming hassle.

Obviously, if more than the LCD is damaged, then I guess you're still looking.
