Recently bought the Black Beastie from the Amigo and just starting to get used to working on the car and getting my hands dirty.

Removed and refitted the rear parcel shelf wiring in the blind.
Changed the cone filter back to the original air box.
Removed, cleaned and replaced wishy washy motor's. Now working well.

Next jobs will be to get some cats and a exhaust and replace the lovely fruity sounding stainless exhaust system on it :'(. Unfortunately the wife does not seem to share my view on how she sounds.

Looking forward to maintaining thi
At least we all know when you arrive at work, when the Black Beastie roars into the carpark ;D

Wasted most of the day trying to fix the LPG but dont really know what Im doing so have given up for the moment.
Felt the need to cheer myself up, so fitted the rear leather seats in my car - heaters work as well, which is nice - so I feel I havent completely wasted the day. ::)

Fitted the poly front bushes to my wishbones, along with new rear ones and balljoints.

Now the clonk has gone from the N/S when it hits a bump.

Only problen is that both front struts have oil on them so I'll be replacing them next!

Saw an 18yo pissing on the bonnet of my Elite whilst it's sat on the drive, caught him and made him walk back. Then I got a bucket of hot soapy water and made him wash it all off. Which he did, very apologetically - got to be better than getting filled in which is what would happen in the 'less nice' areas of Sunderland!

Washed, waxed and polished half of the car. Fixed the loose rear wheel arch lining. Spent ages trying to loosen off the the two chrome (very rusty) exhaust trims. Tomorrow I will finish polishing the car and will fit two new exhaust trims. :y :y

GAAAAHHH put engine and box in a numpty smart car, which someone else had removed 2 months ago, hate doing jobs like this!then found they hadnt disconnected anything properly just yanked it out, repaired the airbox connections and seating, repaired or rather replaced the inlet manifold where they had snapped the fuel lines off :'( found the hand brake hadnt engaged properly in its tube, took engine and box out again, sorted handbrake connector, reinserted engine and box, to find the bloody handbrake still wont work properly!!!its a weird ratchet system of interlocking crap, which you cant se eor work on when engineand box is insitu!!! so went down the pub!!

Removed inlet manifold, starter motor and a few sundry bits and pieces, to sort out my poor starting issue...  Put it all back together and is now starting nicely...  Starter Motor Bolt was slightly loose!!!!
