I have a cheap £6 12v oil pump for my car, as its far easier than a Pela ;D.  But it doesn't work on her car with a proper dipstick, so I do use a Pela for that.

Both are easy to change oil on :)

Back to OP, not sure what bulbs TBH.  My bumper came with the loom, so never really checked.  Can't say I ever remember a time in the last 30 years when I needed to turn front fogs on, other than to remind dickheads coming the other way they have theirs on, so never noticed any heat issues.

My current ride didn't even have an option for front fogs ;D

Some stations have ATLs (automated test lanes) where the tester can do an MOT on his own
(vibrate plates/shakers to rock suspension, mirrors to check rear lights etc )
This is what my MOTer has, just so he can advise something on the MOT, now that I always remove air fresheners.

P1600 is generic.  You also need to look in other modules on same CAN - which on Omega is ABS and TCM...   ...and this one is a manual, so that will possible give a clue...

The TC light is controlled by the ABS module, so that will definitely have a fault code stored as well.

Its unlikely to be an ECU failure, as these are rare on Omegas.  It could be bad programming, though.

It measures output shaft speed. It gets input shaft speed from RPM signal.  It compares these 2 figures, and knows what gear it thinks it is in, and if things don't correlate, throws a P0730 Incorrect Ratio  and dumps the box in limp.

Must be a day for MOT passes - a pass on the Petrol Blue 3.2 Elite with clean bill of health and no advisories. In fact it created a lot of admiration from the other mechanics during its test.. :y
Congratulations on the MOT pass  :)

It's quite often a stranger says ...
"not seen one of them in a while"  ""great car, I used to have one" etc

I hope they are not too disappointed when I don't praise their common as muck, shiny ,Euro Sh!tbox  :D

Great to get an advisory free pass on an Omega now with youngest ones being 20 years old  :y

Mine seems to get the most attention when filling it with fuel, loads of 'I used to have one of these, best car I ever had' and 'You don't see one of those very often' remarks. However, no one offers to pay for the fuel!

Finished a head gasket repair on a friends 1.4 Turbo Zaf C.

Wife has one of these (2016 SE 1.4 Auto) - I really should dump the coolant on this. Been giving it annual oil changes with Dex1 Gen2.

It does low miles, but lots of stop/start town stuff.

It's been very reliable so far, just changed the coolant hose that goes from the coolant tank and plumbs in what I assume is the main coolant engine feed. The one with the metal clip, it was starting to weep a bit.

It blew a windscreen washer pump around 2 years ago.

But apart from that since 2019 been a solid mummy wagon.

I guess that is the smaller vent hose from the top of coolant elbow at the gearbox end of the engine to the header tank?

The hose end goes brittle and fractures, the part with the metal clip is actually (and rather crazy!) an adaptor with an O ring on it (easy to swap the O-ring), the main hose has a plastic clip integrated into the end
