What you need is this:

Looking at the seat (ie looking towards the back of the car) insert the sqaure end of the bar into the motor on the right hand side.

Turn it clockwise to bring the seat forward, and anti-clock to push it back. It will move very very slowly, takes about 50 turns to bring it about an inch! But fix on one point of the seat and you will see it slowly moving...

Thank you very Much for all the help on this, cheers  :)

You've been busy...

As long as it's looking good from the outside, that's half the battle.  [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

I don't suppose it'll shift by using a bit of brute force and having the button pushed to take it forward? There's nothing obstructing it is there?

Can you file down a bit of metal so it has the square bit on, and put in electric screwdriver?

Try jamming a straight screwdriver bit in the slot and use a drill should speed up the winding process it may work. :)

Reference this part, I didn't have it in my vehicle tool kit so went to my local Vauxhall Dealer and purchesed one for, wait for it £1.90 including VAT, part No 90491814 Handle, Crank, Front Seat (For Emergency Use Only)
