Omega General Help / Re: new radiator

Thanks for the encouragement; I do appreciate all the help on here.
I don't want to say goodbye to the car, James has just done my cambelt and thermostat. My leaking gearbox is a higher priority, though.

Ah, all is crystal, now!
Maybe that's why Mr. Kwik-Fit wanted the front bumper off?
Could be a job for if and when we get a summer.......

Thanks a million, gents. Maybe they just wanted to boost their bonus/commission or however they earn extras?
Just to clarify: if I just wanted the rad out (I don't), I can remove it on its own, despite its being behind, yet if I want to remove the ac radiator (I do), I have to remove the coolant rad first despite its being behind?
Um, can you see my confusion?

Yep, '51 Reg 2.6 V6 f/l!
Thanks, Al - because of what Kwik-Fit said, I haven't bothered to see it there's a "How to" on here, but I will now.
Once again, I am SO glad I'm on here; wonderful site, wonderful people......

Sorry to intrude, amba, but you said the a/c condenser is in front of the coolant radiator - does this mean that I can take it out easily and replace it?
A couple of years ago, when my a/c stopped working, the man at Kwik=Fit said it would mean a complete dismantling job, bumper off and everything: so I left it!

I agree, Cleggy; they hate us, kill our people (think that soldier in Woolwich) and yet they flood into our country feeding off our benefit payments......

I was born in that area (Bow) back in the days when the streets were black and white (and the people weren't!), and although it wasn't the most genteel of areas, it was proper English. The only non-English person we ever saw in my street was sometimes on a Sunday morning, when a scotch bloke paraded up and down in a skirt, playing a tortured cat - how we larfed!
Now, though, I feel like a foreigner in my own home territory. The last time I passed through there, on a National Express coach going to Victoria, it was a Sunday morning and all I could see from Bow Road to Aldgate was thousands (yes, literally) of muslins dressed in sheets, walking along the road - to the mosque?

I thought it was just me that couldn't find anything useful on Costco's website; no matter what you ask for, it can't find it!
Will this help:-

Can you give me full details, preferably with pictures, of the offending item, please. I have spent all of my working life in Electronics, design, repair and teaching so if it is within my skills mix I'd be happy to help.

Why don't people (women?) regard personal typing in the same way as letters, i.e. PRIVATE?   (Sorry Kate, nothing personal!      :)).

Does she ride the clutch regularly? You don't say what the car is, or its mileage, but that does seem a bit too frequent!
My guess, from the tenor of your post, is that she won't listen to you whatever you say, so maybe an independent, non-related person could have a word? The garage man, for example?

Ok, a question that is likely to have as many answers as people who answer, but here goes:-
What is your favourite Kate Bush song?
I'll go first, although I have many; I think, of all her wonderful hits, I'd go with "The Man with the Child in his Eyes"
Your turn?

Ron.

P.S. Note to the software creators - I DO know how to spell "favourite": we have a "u" in it in England!
