Don't know about advanced, there are plenty of retarded ones about.
when i initially took lessons it was 7s 6d per lesson .my 17yr old granddaughter is about to start lessons. they are 2 hourly & they recommend she has 30 at £60 per lesson  :

Yup, many moons ago. Stood me in good stead for getting my blue light tickets a few years later. I would heartily recommend Rospa to anyone.

Also, as you're only in York, when all this nonsense settles down let me know if you fancy a run out and see what it's all about. :y
i moved from  30mths ago . halfway between York & Teesside now. from where i live it takes me about five minutes to get on either the A1 or A19. yes will gladly take you up on the offer  :y :y

what i miss mostly about my omega is the car i have doesn,t require me to do anything. tinkering about on my mig was i realize now quite therapeutic. services, brakes ect were quite satisfying once done. now i have a shed full of tools which are redundant. plus the last mig was an estate which would carry just about anything i now have a car which only just has room for a couple of shopping bags. long live the omegas  :y :y :y

i was paying insurance for a samsung phone that i got on a virgin mobile contract. & in september 19 it was updating when it froze & even samsung could not fix it. when i tried to claim all i was offered was a new up to date model & another 2yr extension to my contract. i thought the new phone would be a free replacement but not so i am paying for it. at the time i questioned why but got no joy. my bank did get me every penny i had paid back. i did cancel future insurance payments. However only last week i spotted a £4 deduction so i looked back & they had taken 13 payments so i took it up with virgin mobile & started an indemnity claim authorising my bank to stop payments & claim the £ 52 back. i couldn,t believe how quick it appeared into my account. same day. so always worth trying to get the insurance companies to at least cough up money paid for a policy that doesn,t live up to expectations

back in the mid 1960,s i owned an austin a35 . at that time i was a merchant seaman & was on my way to Hull to join a ship called the Bassano that was going down to Walvis Bay ( northwest South Africa, now Namibia ) from there we bunkered at Cape Town then onto Bombay. so i expected to be away from the UK for a few months. the ship sailed from Hull on a Sunday evening but i actually had signed on for the trip on Friday afternoon taking with me stuff i needed, among my stuff was my drivers docs. when i drove to Hull i had with me my wife & a mate of my dads whom was going to have use of the car whist i was away. i was about two miles out of York  when i was pulled up by a panda car. i new the copper he happened to be at the same school as me. anyway after trying to tell him that i would be away for a while he still gave me a 5 day producer. in my absence i was taken to Selby magistrates charge with failing to produce & got fined £550. the copper incidentally was because of his arrest rate was transferred to the cid but was sacked from the force for adding & lying , altering his book to get people done.

Audi comes with a free one 12v one as the spare has no air in it ........  if you blow it up it ceases to fit .....  not used it yet, my old and relaible ebay item works for most inflations !!  :)
the one i bought from aldi is a 12v battery type. looks a bit like a drill. battery life is alright . kit comprises of the inflator, 12v battery & charger, 12v connecter with a long lead incase the battery runs out of charge. the best one that i have ever bought.  :y

General Discussion Area / call centres (frustration)
« on: 06 October 2020, 16:20:26 »
i am sure this thread will relate to many of us. why do british companies use foreign based call centres I have been on the phone for over two hours trying to rectify a mistake made initially by them. i changed broadband supply from BT to Talktalk two weeks ago ,set it up by speaking to a person that i found it difficult to understand & when he asked me for my email address he must of slipped up by adding an extra L to gmail reading it as maill , consequently not getting emails from them. after two hours on the phone still no joy . the guy kept saying we have sent you an email with a link to reset my a/c . if i had hair i would have pulled it all out by now. how many times must i tell them that the emails are not arriving from them. ??? :'(

i ordered a sofa & chair from furniture village on july 1st . the delivery date is well past. they have the sofa but no chair. there offer is a £i00 discount if i am prepared to wait which they estimate to be another nine weeks. ( but thats not a guarantee ) or i just cancel the chair
with a full refund,& except delivery of the sofa .  anyway thats what iv,e done. as i was doing so the salesman informed me the delivery of  our sofa is tomorrow morning. we did insist that i needed at least a weeks notice to arrange disposal of our current sofas. so did have a bit of a panic getting a removal guy at a short notice.  also i shopped on-line and found the same chair £200 cheaper with guaranteed a 2man  delivery on Fri 2nd
Do they stock the sofa as well? If so, order it as well and tell Furniture Village to stick theirs where the sun don't shine.  :D
just had an email chairs coming between 2 pm - 4pm tomorrow.

It won't be too far from the brake booster vac then...
it looks like the valve that has the vacuum pipe from the the turbo going onto it. hard to see it, I think its a expansion tank out of the way job to see it better. turbo boost valve if I  am right,
