I rekon the bushing/centre spacer in the poly donuts has disappeared into the body.

Tyre pressures correct? Btw?

The replacement for the Omega was delivered today..

(Lanky lad in the picture is Amy's little brother, not me .. I'm more rotund!)

Looks a beast .. V8 flavour ?  :-\

Nah, as Shackeng says it's a 3.2 I5 diesel, manual in my case. Not shabby speed wise and bags of torque, not that it's run in yet.

Drove it the 250 miles from Bracknell to Gorran Haven in Cornwall yesterday and it was most comfortable. Pleased with that :) shame it only gets 28mpg but you can't have it all ways!

Nope you're right Chris, for pushing something as aerodynamic as a house through the air it's not bad at all, and I wasn't hanging about for most of it (save for traffic on the M5 and the local roads after Plymouth)

How did it behave on the Motorways?

Very well indeed - occasionally you'll notice it "bobble" because it's so stiffly sprung, especially at the back for its 1.2 tonne load capacity, but it drives basically like a big, stiffly sprung car. Stops pretty well when the traffic stops too although I did think I was going to do an Al for a minute..

Oh and the lack of body roll means sometimes I'm throwing it into corners way faster than I should ;D

I bet the back gets lively in the wet if it's unloaded.

I'm reliably informed by a friend who owns one who spends most track days going sideways that the stability control is excellent.. To quote him "you throw it onto a roundabout, stamp on the accelerator and it just powers round it" - his previous ranger was the generation before and he spent a lot of time drifting that around the airport roundabouts so I guess it really is much improved!

Did mine last night, including setting up nthe direct debit, it took less than five minutes :y

The DVLA can be the biggest bunch of tissue wasters ever, but this new system does have its positive aspects... like taxing your car on a Sunday afternoon...

One odd thing, if taxing at the Post Office, you still need to produce an MoT certificate should the car require one... yet online, it already knows :-\ a compatibility issue with the Post Office system perhaps...

I didn't when I taxed mine (right after I bought it), they didn't want anything apart from the V5
