 :)Hi, I would like to know how to adjust the fuel in my  M reg 2.5 TD.
It gives about 25mpg around town.

A chip would be the only thing you could realistically do, and make sure it's well serviced...

Excellent. Chip it.  Read the ECU type (liable to be a 214 or 215 ECU), and I'll pass you on to someone who can do you a chip.

I find the chip improves economy and overall drivability, as well as outright performance.

I'm also interested in doing the same.
Where do you find the ECU identification numbers?
What kind of BHP will the chipping achieve?

The number is on the front of the ECU on the black BOSCH sticker:

I think the chipping takes it up from 120bhp to around 150ish (might be wrong) but it certainly makes a huge difference.
