420 430 code gone for now
« on: 10 October 2009, 21:00:57 »

all ive done is fit a k&n panel filter, it did this nearly everyday, but since fitted, its been run on crap petrol( supermarket stuff) and seems happy enough. the old filter wasnt very dirty(yellow colour just tainted). i just wondered if it it possible a slight lack of air could throw the fueling to a point where the fault happens. has anyone fitted a new filter and its gone away for a while? it just odd i checked, as i do and they :o werent there!

It should be OK as long as you were reasonably sparing with the dirt retention additive.

Odd that it's cleared up the cat efficiency codes though.
