went out shopping today....

A nice new 3 ton low jack, very impressed with it. Very, low, and quick very quick lift.....







Head gasket set, the one shown is correct i hope for a 2.2 Petrol?





Ohh and something for the journey back  ::)

2.2 is just a taller block with the same bore, just stroked, so the gasket set should be fine.

unsure about the headbolts though  :-?

Tho i let you off with the Jelly beans.....coz i dont think vx make those  ;D

Head gasket does say its for 2.0.....tho guess it will fit a 2.2.....an expert will tell you  ;)

Where did that jack come from? Looks ideal for fitting under a Westfield!

Bit concerned that the gasket is for a 2.0 but if the bore's the same I guess the gasket is also the same..

nicely spotted Markie  :) yup!

I think the gasket set is ok, as its the same bore. Its just the head bolts which concern me slighlty, as they say they are for the 1.8/2.0, and people say the 2.2 block is higher???

Kevin - Jack is from Costco £65 inc VAT.

Very impressed its ultra low.... and very deep. I can measure its height if you like?

Mind you....typical thinking of an ex student.....i'll buy myself a nice jack.....now for Dads car i have certain amount left......so do i buy genuine parts or do i buy cheap parts and spend the rest on a big bottle of jelly beans.....ummm student thinking won  ;D ;D
