E39 M5's can be had for as little as £4000 (not a great example) now, but they're just on the turning point of where the value will start going up again. £6000 would see you with a 2000 model with reasonable miles and in good nick .

Got four new ones on order, and a nice couple of spares to go with it when it sells
. Will be giving it a little service this weekend too, plugs & all filters.

I like that shape,customer of mine had one with a similar output and as you say it were bloody rapid,he used to reckon on 3k to wear out the front tyres though
This will spin in 3rd in the dry, it's pretty lethal even though it's wearing Bridgestone Potenzas

Picked myself up a little SEAT Leon Cupra R last week, haven't really driven it because it's had a coil pack problem, now sorted however. Now the thing has been remapped to 264 BHP (only a 1.8 turbo 225 standard), my lord is it a quick bloody thing . Being front wheel drive too it torque steers like a pig, it properly tugs at the wheel, nice to drive though I like it. It's erm not very subtle though :
